Jets’ Barron Set to Return From Injury Against Flyers

Winnipeg Jets’ forward Morgan Barron is set to return tonight versus the Philadelphia Flyers after missing eight games with an upper-body injury.

Barron suffered the injury on Jan. 28 against the Montreal Canadiens while dishing out a massive hit to Kirby Dach. Dach got the worst of the collision by far, going flying, but Barron appeared to bang his midsection on the boards. Thankfully for Barron and the Jet, the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off cut down on the number of games he missed.

Barron will retake his usual fourth-line left-wing position with Rasmus Kupari and Alex Iafallo. The 26-year-old, a staple of that line and the penalty kill, has five goals and three assists for eight points and a plus-5 rating in 52 games this season.

The Jets will look to start a new winning streak tonight after they had their franchise-high 11-game heater snapped Thursday in Nashville.
