Brandon Carlo Gets ELC From Bruins

The Boston Bruins have signed 6-foot-5 defenseman Brandon Carlo to his entry-level contract, the team announced on Friday. The team did not disclose financial details or term, though it’s likely, based on precedent, that the deal carries a three-year term.

The 18-year-old grabbed a couple of preseason games with the Bruins, grabbing a goal on September 24 against the Rangers, prior to getting his contract.

The 2nd round draft pick in 2015 (37th overall) has spent the last two seasons playing in the WHL for the Tri-City Americans where he was an alternate captain and scored four goals and 21 assists through 63 games last season.

Carlo has also been the recipient of time on the international stage, grabbing a silver medal at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Tournament and playing in five matches during the 2015 World Junior Championships for the U.S. squad.
