Jets Trim Training Camp Roster to 34

The Winnipeg Jets made a sizeable round of cuts Wednesday, reducing their training camp roster to 34 from 46.

They sent Colby Barlow, Alfons Freij, Kevin He, Jacob Julien, Isaac Poulter, Fabian Wagner, Lucas Wahlin, and Kieron Walton to the Manitoba Moose, whose training camp began Monday.

They also released Davis Burnside, Lukas Gustafsson, Dysin Mayo, and Ashton Sautner from their professional tryout options. Those four will also report to the Moose.

The Jets have gone 1-1-1 in three preseason games so far, and have just one more on their schedule, on Friday, Sept. 25 versus the Avalanche in Colorado.

They must cut their roster down to 23 players by Monday, Sept. 28, one day ahead of the 2026-27 regular season’s opening day. The Jets’ home- and season-opener takes place Friday, Oct. 2 versus the Boston Bruins.
