Devils’ Joey Dudek Pots Pretty Shootout Goal at Development Camp

It’s development camp time around the NHL, and loads of prospects are learning what it takes to become a pro and showing off their skills for coaches and devoted fans. Boston College’s Joey Dudek showed off some nice mitts Saturday during a shootout at New Jersey Devils development camp.

Dudek, a 2014 6th round draft pick (152nd overall), will likely be spending next season with Boston College, but this goal certainly makes an impression.

Last season, as a freshman, he scored one goal and three points in 34 games on a stacked Eagles team. There should be a little more room for him to earn some ice time this coming season with seven players making early departures from the program this offseason. That includes Steve Santini and Miles Woods, who are also Devils prospects and got some time in the organization at the end of last season.

Dudek and the Eagles were one of the NCAA’s top teams last year, finding their way to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida, where they were defeated by Quinnipiac in the semifinals.
