As we head into the 2026-27 NHL season, some Tampa Bay Lightning stars could hit new benchmarks and milestones worth celebrating. This is a non-exhaustive list; it’s a look at the achievable milestones of the top players on the roster.
Andrei Vasilevskiy: 400 Career Wins
This is the biggest milestone on the team by a long shot. According to the NHL public relations team, goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy could become the fastest to reach 400 career wins in league history. Vasilevskiy has 370 wins in 598 games. With 30 wins to reach the milestone, he could achieve this feat in significantly less time than Sergei Bobrovsky’s 400 wins in 707 games.

Vasilevskiy was also the quickest to 300 wins, reaching it in 490 games, beating Jacques Plante’s pace of 521.
Nikita Kucherov: 800 Assists, 1,200 Points, 300 Even-Strength Goals
It’s routine at this point for Nikita Kucherov to reach a new benchmark. Last season, he scored his 400th goal and finished the season with 401. Now, he’s 77 assists away from 800. He’s had at least 83 in each season since 2022-23. He’ll get there. That’s not an issue.
He also shouldn’t have any trouble recording 76 points to reach 1,200 for his career and five more even-strength goals to reach his 300th.
Brayden Point: 700 Points, 400 Assists
Brayden Point struggled by his standards for much of last season, and he dealt with some key injuries. If he can stay healthy in 2026-27, he’ll reach 400 assists and 700 points. With 685 points in his career, he is 15 points away from hitting that milestone, which should be no trouble after never recording fewer than 40 points throughout his career.
As for reaching 400 assists, it’s doable as long as he’s healthy and on his usual pace. Even last season, he was at a solid pace when available. He averaged half an assist per game, which would have given him another 40-assist season had he played at least 80 games. I won’t call it a guarantee, but 400 assists can happen.
Brandon Hagel: 200 Goals, 400 Points
Injuries also cost Brandon Hagel the chance at another career-best season in 2025-26. However, he still set a new career high in goals with 36. He suited up for 71 games, putting him on pace for roughly half a goal per game. If he had remained healthy, as he had been the preceding three seasons, he could have finished with 41 goals. He needs 39 to reach 200 goals in his career. It’s doable.
Reaching his 400th career point is also doable. He needs just 39, and the last three seasons, he’s hovered around a point per game on average. He should get there by the halfway point of the season.
Victor Hedman: 700 Assists
Lightning captain Victor Hedman needs 61 assists to reach 700 this season. Recording at least that many isn’t a mark he’s reached routinely, but he’s done it twice. First, he did it when he recorded 65 assists in 2021-22. Then, most recently, he tallied 63 during the 2023-24 season.
If Hedman is healthy, he will have a big year after playing only 33 games last season. That doesn’t mean he’ll manage 61 assists, but he will get somewhere close or at least close-ish.
Feel free to build a checklist to follow these players as they try to hit these milestones in 2026-27. Should the Lightning be contenders again, you’ll be busy checking them off.
