The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) is here and has the hockey world buzzing. In the past, there have been multiple professional women’s hockey leagues, but all folded. The PWHL has replaced the previous leagues and is now the only league for women’s professional hockey. Consisting of six teams—Montreal Victoire, Ottawa Charge, Toronto Sceptres, Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, and New York Sirens—each team will play 30 games and the schedule will run from Nov. 30 into June.
The PWHL brings exciting new rules that will be the talk of the hockey world:
One of the best parts is the availability of fans to watch the games. In Canada, the games will be divided between TSN, CBC, and Sportsnet. Outside of Canada, the games will be broadcast on the league’s YouTube channel.
